About Us

The Dream Share Project gives young people a place to share their dreams with the world. We believe that speaking your dreams is the first essential step to living your dreams.

On this website, we encourage people to share their life's dreams, to find inspiration, and to collaborate with others who have similar visions.

Our History:
The Dream Share Project was started by Chip Hiden and Alexis Irvin in 2009. The two had just graduated college and found themselves working less-than-fulfilling jobs. They soon discovered that their dreams greatly differed from their jobs - Alexis wanted to be a writer and Chip wanted to be an entrepreneur. They started talking with friends and found that many other people had grand dreams as well but had never really articulated them due to various inhibitions. As Alexis and Chip encouraged more and more people to share their dreams, they realized that the people they spoke with started taking action to realize their dreams. This realization, led the duo to conclude that speaking a dream is the first essential step in living a dream; simply asking someone "What is your dream?" can change a life. They started The Dream Share Project to share this idea with the world and to encourage dreamers around the world to realize their true potential.

The Future:
In summer of 2010, Alexis and Chip plan to embark on a journey across the United States to interview young people who are living their lives in pursuit of a dream. They plan to capture these inspirational stories in writing, photos, audio, and video. In addition to documenting the trip online, Alexis and Chip plan to publish a photo-journalistic book and create a documentary about their trip and the dreams shared along the way. Finally, they hope to turn this website into a sleek social networking site where people can share their dreams, collaborate, and find the support they need to truly live their dreams.
