Frequently Asked Questions

What is Dream Share?
Dream Share is a project to encourage young people to share their dreams and find the courage and support to live them. Dreamers can collaborate and share stories on our website. In the future, there will also be a book published about Dream Share Project and a documentary film.

I have a dream, how can I post it on this site?
We plan to do a major update to this site and make it more like a social networking site in the near future. For now, send your dreams to TheDreamShareProject@gmail.com and we will post them. Text, pictures, video, audio is all acceptable.

Who thought this up?
Alexis Irvin and Chip Hiden, two recent college graduates. After college, the two found themselves working less-than-satisfying jobs and wanted to find a way to pursue their true dreams and passions. Chip has a dream to be an entrepreneur and is the creator of the Chipapalooza Charity Concert for diabetes research. Alexis's dream is to be a writer and she has recently written her first 50,000 word novel.

Why are you doing this?
As Alexis and Chip were working their first jobs, they realized how easy it would be to settle for an un-fulfilling life and a paycheck and never take a risk on chasing a dream. This terrified them. They soon discovered that by articulating their dreams, they were inspired and had something to work towards. They started to take actions to make those dreams real. They shared this idea with friends and found that many others were inspired as well. Now, they are embarking on a journey of self-discovery, learning, and adventure to take the idea to the rest of the world. They hope that the project will touch many lives and have a positive impact on the world.

What does the future hold?
1) a major upgrade to this site to make it more like a fully-functional social networking site to share and collaborate
2) a photo-journalistic book about Alexis and Chip's journey across to US to interview young dreamers.
3) a documentary film about The Dream Share Project
